EXHIBITIONS:

Together. The Community of the 1970s and 1980s

The exhibition presents selected works and recordings of events from the 1970s and 1980s in two parallel segments of the community of Czech, Slovak and Hungarian artists, concentrating on aspects of communication, togetherness and exchange, when the shared activity of creating together takes advantage of the conditions of the intensely felt moment.

Baťa’s Towns

The international satellite housing estates of the Baťa company and comparing them with contemporary global manufacturers. The degree of transformation of regions and towns by the “footprint” of multinational shoemaking industrial concerns, creating specific architectural models and influencing the way of life and consumer attitudes in a given place. Prepared by the Bauhaus Foundation in Dessau, Germany.

Lyrical Entracte

Zdena Kolečková (1969) emerged onto the art scene during the 1990s as part of what was called the non-conceptual circle from Ústí. She has dedicated her works to reflecting the traumas stemming from the uprooted roughness of North Bohemia and the unclear relationship of today’s civilization with its roots through the use of photography, installation, video and painting.
